A Look at the 2023 Mazda CX-30

The 2023 Mazda CX-30 is a dynamic and elegant compact SUV that benefits from a lot of features for its price, making it a great value in its segment.

Three powertrains to choose from

The 2023 Mazda CX-30 is one of the vehicles that offers the most choice in terms of powertrains in its segment since three different engines can be found under its hood. Starting with the GX model, a 2.0L Skyactiv four-cylinder engine that makes 155 horsepower and 150 lb-ft of torque is standard. Moving up to the GS and GT brings a larger 2.5L engine that delivers 191 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque in the GS and 187 horsepower and the same torque in the GT. This last model can also be ordered with a turbocharged version of the 2.5L engine that puts out up to 250 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque when using 93 octane fuel. All three of these engines are paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and the standard i-Activ all-wheel drive system.

More for less

The 2023 Mazda CX-30 is a better value than many of its rivals since it offers more standard equipment and key optional features are available lower in the range. This is why the standard CX-30 GX comes standard with heated seats, LED headlamps and taillamps, Mazda Connected Services, an 8.8-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an 8-speaker sound system, push-button start, rain-sensing wipers, and a 7-inch digital instrument panel. Active safety is covered by the standard forward collision warning with autonomous braking, and blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. Stepping up to the GS also adds a heated steering wheel, larger alloy wheels, a dual-zone climate control system, and a rear center armrest, along with more driver assistance features. Finally, the GT is also equipped with leather upholstery, a head-up display, navigation, adaptive headlamps, a smart-key access system, a 360-degree camera, a 12-speaker Bose audio system, Traffic Jam Assist, and distinctive exterior elements.

A refined design

The 2023 Mazda CX-30 benefits from a refined design that makes it look like a premium vehicle that belongs in the next price class. This is achieved by the CX-30’s flowing lines and creases that convey both an air of sportiness and elegance. Inside, the same can be said for the dashboard, which is simple and functional while also being distinctive and elegant.
