Engine and tech improvements for the 2023 Mazda3

The 2023 Mazda3 has undergone considerable changes, notably under the hood. In addition to 155 horsepower and 150 pound-feet of torque, the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine now offers improved fuel economy. On the other hand, models equipped with 2.5-liter engines will see the most significant changes.

There is now 191 horsepower coupled with 186 pound-feet of torque on these models. They have been improved to be more efficient, however, which is the most significant change. Case in point, the fuel consumption rating of the 2.5-liter SKYACTIV-G engine is announced at 8.7 L per 100 km in the city and 6.4 L per 100 km on the highway.

With its long list of safety and connectivity features, the 2023 Mazda3 is more than just more efficient. A complete suite of I-Activesense active safety technologies is standard on every new Mazda3, as well as advanced blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert. In addition to Mazda Connected services, the Mazda3 offers the Mazda Connect infotainment system housed in a standard 8.8-inch center screen.
