The CX-5 also has a turbocharged unit you can choose. This 2.5L four-cylinder turbo generates up to 250 horsepower and a road-gripping 320 lb-ft of torque.
The 2022 CX-5 is equipped with the latest iteration of the i-Activ AWD system, which is the best AWD system money can buy. The CX-5 also introduces Mazda Intelligent Drive Select (Mi-Drive). This advanced driving mode system enables you to select the right mode with a touch of a switch.
The CX-50 will make these two engines available under the hood, along with i-Activ AWD as standard. But Mazda has also added that the CX-50 will add a hybrid powertrain in the coming years, making the CX-50 even more efficient.
