2021 Mazda CX-30 Earns IIHS Top Safety Pick+ Award, The Highest Possible Safety Award

The 2021 Mazda CX-30 was named a Top Safety Pick+ vehicle by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, making it the seventh Mazda vehicle to receive the prestigious award. The IIHS is responsible for evaluating the safety of new vehicles sold in North America, and they don’t hand out their Top Safety Pick+ awards easily.

That makes the fact that Mazda has more TSP+ pics than any other automaker even more impressive. Mazda has 7 Top Safety Pick+ models including the 2021 Mazda CX-30, the Mazda CX-5, the Mazda CX-9, the Mazda3, the Mazda6, and the Mazda CX-3. To receive the designation, a vehicle must pass all IIHS crash tests with the highest grade and receive the highest grade in active safety evaluations as well.

“With safety a top priority for Mazda, we are proud to have the CX-30 earn the 2020 IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ award,“ said Mazda North American Operations President Jeff Guyton. “Mazda is committed to providing the most advanced safety technologies in all of our vehicles. We continually strive to challenge ourselves to create products and technologies, that provide our customers a confident and joyful driving experience.“
